Aline Lahoud, Lebanese artist, born in Beirut in 1981 and grew up surrounded by an artistic family; the daughter of the famous singer Salwa Al Katrib and producer Nahi Lahoud.
Q: You have achieved great success in a short time, how was the beginning for Aline Lahoud?
The beginning was in 2004 when I represented Lebanon in Turkey where I won the Fidof (Fédération Internationale de l’Organisation des Festivals) special award for outstanding performance on stage; an international prize in the MegaHit Festival.
Q: Your first album was in the French language, you also sing in English and Arabic, but if you had to choose to sing in only one language, what will your choice be?
Maybe in French (but I like to sing in many languages cause I sing in Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Indian, Armenian, Turkish, Portuguese and Italian)
Q: You have studied directing and you performed as actress in several TV series, what do you prefer? Acting on stage or the screen?
Both are great to me but theater has more magic cause it is a live interaction with the audience!
Q: To what extent are you affected by the work of the late artist, your mother, Salwa Al Qatrib? Do you like re-introducing her work?
My mother is my idol and I am preparing a huge tribute to her on stage.
Q: Now you are a member of the jury in the talent TV program “Talent Teen” on OTV, how do you evaluate this experience, especially as it is with children?
The Talen Teen experience is a great step I am doing in my professional life because it is so magical to interact with young talents and become part of their world.
Q: Duo “Ba3shaq Rouhak” is an important shift in your art work, particularly as it is joins you with the famous artist Marwan Khoury … What are the feedbacks behind this in general, and specifically the song?
The duet with Marwan Khoury is a huge success. Thanks God ! And the echoes on the song came to me from all over the world (Canada,Cote d’Ivoire, Emirates, Palestine, Jordan, Tunisia, Syria and USA) I am really very happy.
Q: What are the future plans for Aline Lahoud?
I am shooting now two new TV series on edrama called “Al Ro2ya Al Thalitha” and one comedy “Auberge” and I will be recording a new song soon.
